Rajinikanth, who arrived in West Bengal on Wednesday, is gearing up to shoot at two educational institutions in Darjeeling and the North Bengal hill-town of Kurseong in a 30 to 40-day schedule for his next film.

Rajinikanth, who arrived in West Bengal on Wednesday, is gearing up to shoot at two educational institutions in Darjeeling and the North Bengal hill-town of Kurseong in a 30 to 40-day schedule for his next film.
In the run-up to the shoot, which will take place at the Hills-Mount Hermon School in Darjeeling and Central Academy of Forest Education in Kurseong, preparations had started last month with the crew working with carpenters and painters under the supervision of the art director.

The 750-member crew of the film, which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is busy erecting sets at both locations.

In the first phase, Rajini will shoot in the premises of Eastern Forest Rangers College in Kurseong. Shooting starts on June 7 and is likely to continue till June 15. The film will move on to Lucknow, Varanasi, Dehradun and Chennai later.
“The team has sought all permissions to shoot from the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change,” said Dr Wangdup Bhutia, Principal of the Central Academy of Forest Education.
